Terex Cranes has launched its latest Rough Terrain crane in the TRT family, the 35 tonne TRT 35

The new model follows introduction of the 80 and 90 tonne TRT 80 and the TRT 90 earlier this year. All new RTs feature the Terex Operating System (TEOS) that that includes navigation and T-Link telematics. The TRT 35, is essentially an update of the RT 35-1 and features a similar four section 30.1 metre cable synchronised main boom with the option of an eight metre swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of just over 40 metres.

Other options include radio remote controls, an auxiliary winch with matching performance to the main winch, chassis mounted outrigger controls, an anemometer and cameras that are embedded within the 10 inch touchscreen display.

Overall stowed width is 2.5 metre, depending on tyres, while power comes from a Cummins Stage V/Tier 4F diesel with a Stage IIIA engine from markets where this is a requirement all are equipped with the company’s Eco Mode function. The power units are matched to a twin mode Powershift transmission with Manual Mode offering three forward and three reverse speeds plus Automatic Mode with five forward and three reverse speeds.

RT sales manager Guillaume Bertrand said: “The addition of the TRT 35 will enhance an already significant product range offered by Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, meeting both market and customers’ needs for a flexible yet durable off road crane. As well as the intuitive TEOS control system, the TRT cranes have compact dimensions, proportional telescopic boom, full power and come equipped for T-Link telematics platform 11allowing geo localisation and remote diagnostics.”

The European version is available now, while the North American model will be available early in the new year.
